Fringe lovers will be able to navigate their 2023 festival experience with a new app.
Planned for download in late July, the app has been designed to help audiences explore the huge range of performances, and includes features that weren’t available on the Fringe’s 2019 version.
Features of the user-friendly Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023 app include:
- View and search of full programme listings
- Booking of tickets on the go
- ‘Nearby now’ function to find shows starting soon close to their location
- Storage of e-ticket QR codes, integrated into the user’s daily show schedule
- Ability to add tickets for multiple shows in a single transaction
- Notifications for when the next show is about to start
- ‘Shake to Search’ function for random show suggestions
The 2023 app, developed with support from Scottish Enterprise and new sponsors Playbill and Synetec, will continue to be developed for Fringe 2024 and beyond, taking user feedback into account.
