Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017
What’s it about?
Lyrical geniuses Adam and Sean go head to head in a battle of… poetry? More entertaining than it sounds. Audience suggestions are combined to create a Shakespearean play, and Adam and Sean must act out the whole thing, iambic pentameter and all.
What makes it good?
The consistency and quality of the script they produced was amazing, not once straying out of rhythm and bouncing off each other brilliantly to produce an hour-long of literary masterpiece.
The best bits
The love poem in which the Rhapsodes took words from the audience such as lemon, wardrobe and cheese grater and somehow worked them into their rhymes • The Harold Pinter v Edgar Allan Poe poetry slam.
