Murder She Didn’t Write

Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017

What’s it about?

The cast takes suggestions from the audience to create a raucously funny murder mystery on the spot –  this time it was The Case of the Straight Banana, where the guests are gathered at a scéance and Mrs Voilet kills her maid Saffron with a frozen banana. Theatre group Degrees of Error produce a riveting one hour show, providing belly laughs throughout.

What makes it good?

The actors produce an incredibly well structured storyline for something completely improvised, and the cast cleverly and hilariously make use of each other’s faults and hesitations to create extra amusement.

The best bits

Ralphio Green confessing to his real reason for attending the séance – to steal the straight banana tree • The exposure of Saffron’s affair with Mrs Violet’s late husband, her motive for the murder as she was the eventual culprit.
